New Release: DEADLOCK

I’m so excited to announce that the audiobook for DEADLOCK by Melissa Koberlein is now available!

Built in the same world as RAVEN’S SPHERE, DEADLOCK tells Raven’s ex-best friend Stass’ story. I had a great time leaving the real world to navigating the virtual world Stass inhabits!

From the publisher:

If you loved Ready Player One, you won’t want to miss this sleek, new virtual adventure!

The year is 2341 and Earth is a distant memory. Thousands of people from all over the world, and some from other worlds, enter a vast virtual reality on planet Zeta. Commonly known as the ALT, visitors hope to find what they can’t in their physical world. Sport hacking, gambling, and pleasure houses are a few of the offerings of the ALT. But there are also dark dynamics lurking within the virtual city….

Seventeen-year-old Stass Tatum is a highly skilled human hacker from the futuristic city of Rourke. She is known on the grid as Deadlock for her dominant, lethal tactics in sport hacking. After meeting a popular elite player, she hatches a plan to jettison her rank into his.

But fate has other ideas…. A deadly virus wreaks havoc on her plans, and now she must face what death means outside the virtual world.

From the Raven’s Sphere world by Melissa Koberlein comes this new virtual adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

DEADLOCK is available on Audible, Amazon and iTunes.

New Release: RAVEN’S SPHERE

It’s here! The audiobook for RAVEN’S SPHERE by Melissa Koberlein released over the weekend, and starfire, am I excited!

Thanks to Melissa for letting me tell Raven’s story. I (and my nips, bits and all) had a blast narrating this book. We laughed and cried (a little), which is a narrator’s dream come true.

From the publisher:

If she can’t let go of the past, there won’t be a future for anyone.

Eighteen-year-old Raven is a thief with a disturbing past. Her life of pilfering expensive tech vaults on space freighters takes a nosedive when she finds a frightened 12-year-old boy on her newest stolen spaceship. In his possession is a glowing sphere he swears to protect at all costs.

Moved by the kid’s courage, Raven does the one thing she hasn’t done in a long time – she cares…a little. She allows him to stay aboard. What she doesn’t realize is that by doing so, she and the kid have become the most wanted individuals in the galaxy.

From the author of the Ashwater series and Fireflies trilogy, comes this new, dark interstellar adventure.

Fans of The Mandalorian and Firefly will devour this fast-paced novel by Melissa Koberlein.

Buy Raven’s Sphere to start this exciting adventure today!

RAVEN’S SPHERE is available on Audible, Amazon and iTunes.

Guest on INDIE CHICKS Podcast

Today I’d like to celebrate women in the publishing industry.

I’m talking about writers, publishers, editors, narrators. . .you name it. And if you’re not currently published, but you would like to be, or if you are but would like additional help or ideas on things like editing or marketing, a great resource to help with that is the Indie Chicks, created by Melissa Koberlein, author and professor of publishing.

As part of their resource offerings, the Indie Chicks have a podcast, co-hosted by Melissa Koberlein and editor Jeni Chappelle. I was so delighted when the Indie Chicks invited me on their podcast in June to talk about the joys of narrating audiobooks!

In the podcast episode, we discussed advice Melissa and I have about making an audiobook, and dished a bit about the upcoming audiobook for Raven’s Sphere, Melissa’s science fiction adventure novel full of snarky bits.

I hope you can take a listen to the podcast on Narrating Audiobooks. If you’re unable to listen, you can get a shortened version by reading the blog Q&A.

Enjoy!
