In Rudolph, New York, it’s Christmastime all year long. But this December, while the snow-lined streets seem merry and bright, a murder is about to ruin everyone’s holiday cheer in the first Year-Round Christmas Mystery.

As the owner of Mrs. Claus’s Treasures, Merry Wilkinson knows how to decorate homes for the holidays. That’s why she thinks her float in the semi-annual Santa Claus parade is a shoe-in for best in show. But when the tractor pulling Merry’s float is sabotaged, she has to face facts: there’s a Scrooge in Christmas Town.

Merry isn’t ready to point fingers, especially with a journalist in town writing a puff piece about Rudolph’s Christmas spirit. But when she stumbles upon the reporter’s body on a late night dog walk — and police suspect he was poisoned by a gingerbread cookie crafted by her best friend, Vicky — Merry will have to put down the jingle bells and figure out who’s really been grinching about town, before Vicky ends up on Santa’s naughty list . . .

New Release: DARKNESS STIRRING

Get your spooky listen on this week with this new audiobook release: DARKNESS STIRRING by J.R. Erickson.

Michigan’s Manistee National Forest.
Missing girls.
The supernatural.

Whoo-ee, I am glad I narrated this one during the daylight hours. There *may* be just a few parallels in my own life with this one. . .

FROM THE PUBLISHER

Inspired by an eerie true story.

Lorraine Hicks is 14 years old when she watches her best friend, Beverly, climb into a tree in the forest and never come back down. It’s a mystery that haunts her small town and embeds itself in Lorraine’s life.

Fifteen years later, Lori is a grown woman, doing her best to move on from her troubled childhood. She reluctantly agrees to a night of camping, despite her secret terror of the woods. As she sits by a roaring bonfire, a man stands and tells the story of two 14-year-old friends who walked into the Manistee National Forest – only one of them walked back out.

The story is hauntingly similar to Lori’s own, and she embarks on a quest to discover if the two disappearances are linked.

As she unravels the truth behind the vanishings, she unearths a malevolence that forces her to question if evil truly exists.

Don’t miss this chilling paranormal murder mystery.

DARKNESS STIRRING is available on Audible and Amazon.

New Release: A MAYFAIR CHRISTMAS CAROL

It’s Christmas in June!

Well, that is, when you listen to A MAYFAIR CHRISTMAS CAROL by Kassandra Lamb, the 4th book in the Marcia Banks and Buddy Mystery series.

Experience Florida’s balmy December weather and the cozy breeze of murder with this holiday cozy mystery. As always, I love narrating Marcia and Buddy’s adventures, and can not wait for the next one!

From the Publisher:

A Christmas extravaganza in Mayfair, Florida, complete with an ice skating rink. What could go wrong?

When Mayfair’s newly minted Chamber of Commerce goes off the rails, and decides to build an ice skating rink, a decades-old skeleton is uncovered. The secrets it reveals threaten more than the town’s Christmas plans. Feeling responsible since the let’s-attract-more-tourists idea was hers initially, service dog trainer Marcia Banks is determined to help her police detective boyfriend solve the mystery – whether he wants her help or not. Maybe she can wheedle more out of the townspeople than he can.

Will she and her black Lab, Buddy, keep the ghost of Christmas past from destroying what is left of Mayfair’s founding family, or will her meddling make things worse?

(This novella can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, but it is an integral part of the Marcia Banks and Buddy Mystery series. It’s suggested that listeners following the series not skip it.)

A MAYFAIR CHRISTMAS CAROL is available on Audible, Amazon, iTunes and wherever audiobooks are sold.

New Release: THE CALL OF THE WOOF

Happy audiobook birthday to Kassandra Lamb for THE CALL OF THE WOOF. I had so much fun narrating Marcia Banks (Mar-see-uh, not Mar-sha!) and Buddy’s 3rd adventure. A wild ride, for sure!

Called in to dog-sit, Marcia can’t sit idly by. She and her mentor dog Buddy set out to clear the Blacks’ name, fighting misconceptions about bikers and about TBI along the way. When murder is added to the mix, Marcia redoubles her efforts, despite anonymous threats and her sheriff boyfriend’s strenuous objections, both to her putting herself at risk…and to dragging him along on her wild ride.

THE CALL  OF THE WOOF is available on Audible, Amazon, iTunes and wherever else audiobooks are sold.

2021 IAA Finalist: Best Mystery

I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that I’ve been chosen as finalist in the 2021 Independent Audiobook Awards!

LEGACY OF SECRETS by Helen Starbuck was selected as a finalist for Best Mystery. This title was produced by The Audio Flow and engineered by Elysian Nightfall Studios, and they both did an amazing job.

From the Publisher: Kate Earnshaw’s father’s suicide has left many unanswered questions. The police declared it a suicide, but she can’t bring herself to believe it. The more she discovers, however, the more Kate wonders whether she ever really knew him. Her father never explained why he let his childhood home in eastern Colorado fall into ruin or why he kept the property a secret. And he never told Kate about his close friendship with Evan Hastings, the handsome and somewhat puzzling man who lives on the property near the abandoned house.

Other families pass down their stories. The Earnshaws pass down painful riddles without answers. Kate comes from a family where unspoken secrets disappear from one generation to the next. Evan seems to have as many secrets as her father and to know more about him than she did, which hurts. But there’s something about Evan that calls her back to her father’s home. Something that threatens to unbury more than the past.

Congratulations also to the other finalists in the Best Mystery category:

  • BLUE HILL written by G. Wayne Miller, narrrated by J. Kawamoto – produced by Crossroads Press
  • DIVER’S PARADISE (A Roscoe Conklin Mystery, Book 1) written by Davin Goodwin, narrrated by Alan Carlson
  • THE POIROT COLLECTION: Books 1-3 – The Mysterious Affair at Styles, The Murder on the Links, Poirot Investigates written by Agatha Christie, narrrated by P.J. Ochlan – produced by Lepton Films, LLC
  • THE WIFE LIE written by Anya Mora, narrrated by Jennifer Jill Araya – produced by Vibrance Press

I’m honored to be among this group of narrators. I can barely stand to wait for the winners to be announced at the awards ceremony on June 25th, 2021.

Check out the 2021 IAA finalists in the other categories and, if you can, give them a listen.
