In Rudolph, New York, it’s Christmastime all year long. But this December, while the snow-lined streets seem merry and bright, a murder is about to ruin everyone’s holiday cheer in the first Year-Round Christmas Mystery.

As the owner of Mrs. Claus’s Treasures, Merry Wilkinson knows how to decorate homes for the holidays. That’s why she thinks her float in the semi-annual Santa Claus parade is a shoe-in for best in show. But when the tractor pulling Merry’s float is sabotaged, she has to face facts: there’s a Scrooge in Christmas Town.

Merry isn’t ready to point fingers, especially with a journalist in town writing a puff piece about Rudolph’s Christmas spirit. But when she stumbles upon the reporter’s body on a late night dog walk — and police suspect he was poisoned by a gingerbread cookie crafted by her best friend, Vicky — Merry will have to put down the jingle bells and figure out who’s really been grinching about town, before Vicky ends up on Santa’s naughty list . . .

Feeling responsible since the let’s-attract-more-tourists idea was hers initially, service dog trainer Marcia Banks is determined to help her police detective boyfriend solve the mystery – whether he wants her help or not. Maybe she can wheedle more out of the townspeople than he can.

Will she and her black Lab, Buddy, keep the ghost of Christmas past from destroying what is left of Mayfair’s founding family, or will her meddling make things worse?

(This novella can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, but it is an integral part of the Marcia Banks and Buddy Mystery series. It’s suggested that listeners following the series not skip it.)

New Release: AT WITS’ END

So excited this cozy mystery has released!

AT WITS’ END (Doyle Cozy Mystery, Wits’ End book 1) by Kirsten Weiss is a cozy mystery that’s out of this world. . . Men in Black. Conspiracy-crazed old ladies. Can a clueless innkeeper catch a killer…and stick to her carefully crafted schedule?

I really love narrating cozy mysteries and this one did not disappoint. AT WITS’ END is full of side smirks and guffaws. Trust me. I did a few retakes on this due to giggles.

Full disclosure: The feeling of connection to the main character was palpable. My sister’s name is Susan, I am a control freak complete with extensive checklists in my bullet journal, and I love Victorian B&B’s. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, though I do deal with some of them on a regular basis.  Unfortunately, I do not have a faux-UFO built into my house’s roof.

Thank you to Joc and Dani at The Audio Flow and to author Kirsten Weiss for trusting me to tell this hilarious story.

Listen to a sample:

From the publisher:

When control-freak Susan Witsend inherits her grandmother’s UFO-themed B&B, she’s ready to put her organizational skills to the test. She knows she can make the B&B work, even if there is a faux-UFO in the roof. After all, what’s not to love about a Victorian nestled in the high Sierra foothills?

None of her carefully crafted policies and procedures, however, can prepare her for a corpse in room seven – the body of her small-town sheriff’s ex-husband. Good thing Susan has her own plans to solve the crime.

But is there a government conspiracy afoot? Or is the murder a simple case of small-town vengeance?

Susan must keep all her wits about her. Because the killer isn’t finished, and if she isn’t careful, her fate may be written in the stars….

Beam up this hilarious cozy mystery today!

AT WITS’ END is available on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes.
